USFA Releases Provisional 2008 Firefighter Fatality Statistics
USFA announced today there were 114 on-duty firefighter fatalities in the United States as a result of incidents that occurred in 2008. During this period, firefighters were lost from 34 states and one from the Virgin Islands.
